What is it?

Buttock augmentation or gluteoplasty is the surgical procedure that provides shape, volume and lift to the buttocks, improving the outline in the area without leaving visible scars, s the approach is via gluteal fold.

How is it performed?

It is essential to listen carefully to the client to find out what their true expectations are. Some people ask for a buttock augmentation, others for a remodelling. For remodelling the area, liposculpture can appreciably improve the shape. On other occasions, with flat buttocks, a volume augmentation can be performed. In the latter case, there are two main techniques: inserting buttock implants and fat grafts. A combination of the two may also be performed.

Buttock implants are inserted intramuscularly (within the gluteus maximus muscle). The results can be very natural, as long as there is enough muscle and subcutaneous tissue to conceal the outline of the implant. Thus, it is essential to put yourself in the hands of highly qualified surgeons who are experts in this surgical technique, such as those in the Nordetia team.

Advantages

  • It improves the outline and appearance of the buttocks and the top outer part of the thigh.
  • It can be performed on both men and women.
  • The stitches are intradermal, so the scar is practically unnoticeable.

FAQs

When can I go back to work after undergoing buttock augmentation?

At least 7 days after surgery, although it also depends on the work involved. If the work does not require major exertion, usually clients can return to their normal routine after 10 days. If the work involves long hours sitting, it is recommendable to get up every now and then.

Occasionally encapsulation can occur with breast implants, can this also happen with buttock implants?

No, basically because of the area in which the implant is inserted.
